We do not collect financial account numbers or card details. All payment processing is handled directly by Xendit.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your account and verify your identity
- To match consumers with nearby, qualified service providers
- To track provider arrival in real time, including background location up to 30 minutes before a scheduled appointment
- To process service payments through Xendit's escrow system
- To calculate and update Trust Scores using AI algorithms
- To send service alerts, auction notifications, and account updates
- To resolve disputes and investigate fraud or abuse
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Xendit — for payment processing and escrow management
- Semaphore — for OTP SMS delivery
- Amazon Web Services — for secure cloud hosting and storage
- Firebase / OneSignal — for push notification delivery
- Regulatory authorities — as required by Philippine law (BSP, NPC, SEC)
4. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Account data is retained for a minimum of 5 years after account closure for financial and regulatory compliance. You may request deletion of non-essential data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

6. Cookies & Analytics
The Gig Market website uses essential cookies only for session management. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. Analytics are collected in aggregate, anonymized form.
7. Security
We implement TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. All infrastructure is hosted on AWS. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and the NPC within 72 hours.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will revise the "Last updated" date and notify users via in-app notification for material changes.
